An Indian Design Guide – From Design Week

If you’ve been to India, you’ll know that it’s a complex country with cultures, language, cuisine, customs and traditions varying between places that lie within a 100 mile radius.

This variety is a reflection of the country’s landscape, with snowy mountains (Himalayas) and desert (Thar in Rajasthan) in the north, tropical forests and beaches in the south, flat salt plains (Rann of Kutch) on the west and the incredible bio-diversity in the North East. All these factors have influenced, amongst other things, the design culture.
