Cheap Mass Production of Gaphene?

I’ve just stumbled upon this news item that talks about a research at Rice University that claims to have developed a new process that will convert various kinds of waste into what is termed as flash graphene, cheaply and efficiently.

I am wondering if this will finally enhance mass adoption of graphene as a reliable material for practical applications. Fingers crossed!
